How to display images in HTML email template (to work on gmail and outlook)

I'm trying to display images that will render in an HTML email template in all three clients:

- Outlook 2008

- Googlemail

- Safari apple mail

OPTION ONE: Using base64, works in Outlook and Safari but not in Googlemail

<img src="data:image/png;base64,{{base64_encode(file_get_contents(resource_path('imgs/logo.png')))}}" />

OPTION TWO: Hosting image in public google drive works in Googlemail and safari but not Outlook

<img src="" />

Unfortunately, i have to cater for Outlook 2008 in this instance,

are there any other options?

Hey! I know several methods that make it possible to create HTML emails much faster. Perhaps the most efficient and simpler is to use
On this site, it will take you no more than 10 minutes to create a good HTML email. Try it!

Oh, I remember using this service, it's really handy and cool, I recommend it, but now I need a similar service to this one, please advise

I have always wondered how mail messages end up in spam and how to avoid it, suddenly it will come in handy sometime, so I decided to google about it to find out at least something. So I came across one site with an article and an open rate. And there I managed to find out something about it. So if you're interested too, I recommend it!
